Background

About Meeghan Gavin

With over twenty years of work experience in the non-profit sector, I am passionate about empowering immigrants and refugees with entrepreneurship and communication skills. As the Entrepreneurship Coordinator at Westman Immigrant Services, I design and deliver workshops, mentorship programs, and networking events to help newcomers start and grow their own businesses. Previously, I was the Manager at Ten Thousand Villages, where I oversaw the operations, sales, and staff of a fair trade retail store. I was responsible for developing and implementing projects, such as pop-up shops, in store events and marketing, that increased the store's revenue and customer base. I have strong skills in project development, presentation, and communication, and I am always eager to learn new things and share my knowledge with others. I believe in the mission and vision of Westman Immigrant Services, and I am committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse community.
