The programs that I developed and led addressed shared risks were practical and replicable delivered measurable results and won industry awards and stakeholder recognition. Well positioned through effective communications strategies advocacy through evidence-based engagement sustained quality stakeholder dialogue involvement of credible institutional knowledge partners and regulatory support they helped build bridges with the stakeholders and tide over crisis situations that could be potentially damaging to the company’s reputation and thus immediate and long-term business interests. Considered as best practices these programmes were endorsed by the regulators and decision makers. The experience of engaging diverse stakeholder groups often with conflicting interests has given me unique insights of the factors at play of the successes and failures from both ends of the spectrum.
