About Meera Katkam

The world we live in, and are evolving into has information at the Centre of its decision ecosystem. Data drives this Information, and decisions drive the world. I am a graduate student currently pursuing Master of science in business analytics at University of Texas Dallas- Naveen Jindal school of management. During my bachelors, I was introduced to basic programming in R, SQL and Python. The combination of coursework and hands-on project work provided me with solid basics on data analytics while making me realize the significance of Data. Working on multiple challenging academic projects and an internship made me realize the power of data in decision making. I worked as an intern at Thomson Reuters for 6 months. I worked in the team checkpoint engage in the domain auditing where I translated the business requirements into product proof of concept. Over the span of my internship, I have dabbled with every aspect of the Software development process and gained extensive knowledge and understanding of SQL, HTML and data visualization. My strong qualities in analyzing a problem and devising an efficient solution are critical thinking and logical reasoning. I am driven, motivated, hard-working in whatever I do and always give my best. Every day offers new opportunities to learn and innovate. My goal is to use my knowledge to contribute back to the society in a meaningful way, and I'm getting closer to that goal every day. I look forward in connecting with you!
