About Meg Bonney

Throughout my education I have had experience working in the field with both flora and fauna of North Queensland including Mount Surround, Orpheus Island, and the Daintree Rainforest. Furthermore, I have advanced my data collation, analysis, and report writing skills in Microsoft Office software, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and R-studio Software. I am also proficient in formulating Terms of Reference (ToR), Social Impact Assessments (SIA), and understanding the requirements of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). I have also been able to expand my knowledge on water quality monitoring and vegetation surveying in various regional ecosystems. Additionally, my time as office manager awarded me valuable data entry and liaison skills. During my internship at Wildlife Surrounds Conservation Centre, I developed a greater understanding of stakeholder liaison, fundraising processes, wildlife conservation strategies, BioCondition surveying, and wildlife identification and handling techniques. Moreover, I have established a strong understanding of federal and state laws as well as the importance of communication amongst various stakeholders, and I look forward to applying this knowledge to an environmental conservation setting.
