About Meg Burge

I have a master's in social work (MSW) from UW Madison. I have been working as a licensed mental health provider (LCSW) since 2016. My professional experiences range from employment in a large state institution with the Chapter 980 population to small, community-based private practice. I have expertise in the assessment and treatment of sexual offending. Additionally, I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with particular interest in how pornography use and early sexual experiences impact sexual functioning/satisfaction. Most recently, I am expanding my practice with additional training in Sex Therapy (CST). I previously taught as a Lecturer and Field Faculty with the Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work at UW Madison and maintain affiliations through guest lectures and student support/consultation. My practice is rooted in Social Work and Humanistic values through which I honor the inherent dignity and worth of each individual patient. I’m a strong LGBTQ+ ally with affirming philosophies and practices for patients of all genders and orientations. I enjoy working with patients to identify their unique strengths as they work toward sexual safety, sexual health, and sexual pleasure.
