About Meg Grey
I am the co-founder and Director of Programs at UrbanPromise Los Angeles, a nonprofit dedicated to the holistic development of the children and youth in underserved communities of LA. Alongside my husband, Dionté Grey, and a passionate team of local youth leaders, I launched UrbanPromise in 2019 in Canoga Park. Our mission is to provide leadership, academic support, and college access through holistic programming and mentorship, inspiring young people to reach their full potential and become the leaders that restore their communities.With over eight years of nonprofit experience in youth development and 12 years serving as a mentor, I love empowering teens to achieve their dreams and address community needs through college access and servant leadership. Passionate about nurturing the next generation, I excel in program development, community outreach, and creating engaging curriculum. When I’m not working to "reach a child, raise a leader, and restore community," I enjoy spending time with my family, having brunch with mentees, and creating content.
