About Meg Walker

Meg is an outgoing, high energy, self-starter with a passion for marketing, public relations and communication. Strong organization skills and attention to detail, mixed with her outgoing personality and authentic desire to connect with people has fostered strong relationships that have lasted through the years. These skills help her be an excellent collaborator that can thrive in a distributed or traditional team setting. As Brand & Culture Coordinator for Coastal Farm & Ranch, Meg used her strong background in animal health to strategically place the Coastal brand in the 20+ communities they serve through marketing, events, sponsorships, and public relations. Now in the public sector, Meg has opportunity to work as the Communications Officer for Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments. Meg has played a vital role in creating the strategic plan for the agency, developing an agency wide communications plan, and coordinates all marketing and reporting efforts. Meg received her Marketing degree from Oregon State University in 2011 and thrives on the deep relationships and ties to her hometown and equine community. Being a servant leader is at the heart of Meg’s core values personally and professionally, and she proudly serves her community in various ways. She currently the President of Marys Peak Search & Rescue, leading a team of over 70 volunteers. Additionally, she serves as a dog handler in the specialty K9 search and rescue unit, Region 3 K9, where she specializes in water human remains detection.
