About Megan A. Cunningham

With a strong desire to help others, I was drawn to a career in health care from an early age. More than a career, it’s my mission to make a difference. After graduating as a RN in the top of my class, I joined the team at The Willows, a nonprofit, long-term care and skilled nursing facility in the Presbyterian SeniorCare Network. Based on my drive to always perform at my best, enhance the quality of care, and contribute, I advanced steadily to leadership positions in nursing. Most recently, I served in a risk management role at a rehabilitation and healthcare center where I was a member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure regulatory compliance. In this role, I helped to enhance the residents’ quality of care and overall satisfaction and served on the Safety, Quality Assessment Assurance and Compliance committees. Throughout my career, I established a reputation as a dependable and highly skilled supporter of nursing leadership at large and small healthcare organizations. I’ve built a successful career collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in nursing and risk management. A results-oriented professional who works well independently, I like to know the objective, am accountable and strive to exceed expectations. I am also policy driven. I want to know the rules, follow them, and expect others to do the same. I believe work time should be productive, and everyone should be respectful of others. In addition to my RN license and BS degree in Health Science, I am a Certified Nursing Director of Long-Term Care (CNDLTC) along with BLS, CPR, and AED certifications. My key strengths include nursing leadership, risk management, team leadership, root cause analysis, healthcare consulting, coaching and mentoring, quality assurance, quality improvement, and relationship building.
