About Megan Aley

I am a supervisor at Loungers plc, a leading hospitality chain in the UK, and a third-year Politics and International Relations student at the University of Exeter. I have a keen interest in protest movements and political campaigning, and I have led and participated in several social movement campaigns on and off campus. I am also the vice president of FalClimb, a student climbing society that organizes activities, risk assessments, and technical training for members. In my role at Loungers, I manage feedback, social media, and community events, as well as delivery, team building, and training. I have developed strong communication and leadership skills, along with skills regarding the day to day management of running a business in hospitality. I also perform a supporting role in peak trade seasons by roaming to other sites within the area when support is needed. I have contributed to the team effort in delivering record breaking services at many of the sites in the SWC. Additionally, I take a role in the management and running of wider area social media marketing for Loungers in the South West Coast. This includes reporting, team leadership, target management and goal setting. I have also played a supporting role in the marketing department at our HQ. One of my proudest achievements is raising over for charity over my career at Loungers. I enjoy creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for customers and staff, and I am motivated by the values and vision of Loungers.
