About Megan Basso

I like to solve problems, as a kid I was addicted to Chinese Wooden puzzles. Throughout my career, I have been lucky enough to face several challenges that needed some creative problem solving. Whether it's turning around employee morale to increase employee retention or mediating internal employee conflicts, I've been quick to uncover the issue and identify a creative solution. My passion is in the coaching and developing teams. I have had the opportunity to both be a direct leader to promote, develop, and recruit my own team as well as be an advisor to many business stakeholders on developing early talent. As a leader I have been hand selected to participate in several programs including:+Caterpillar Women's Initiative Network - Chapter President, Central IL +University Selection and Governances Project +Human Resources Developmental Program +7 Habits for Highly Effective Managers +Fierce Conversations +Women of Wireless +Marketing Research project for Verizon Home Services I grew up in the Chicago suburbs but currently live in Central Illinois with my husband and dog Lucy. I love to read- paper books, e-books, and audio books are all included in my library. Cooking is also a passion and I love creating new recipes with whatever we have laying around the house.
