About Megan Derry

Megan is a early childhood professional with a keen recognition of community. An accomplished learner and creative educator, she recognizes the unique role of a teacher: a leader of learning who affects not only the student but also the family and the community. Recognizing that teaching is a larger responsibility than simply classroom teaching, Megan seeks to shape a generation of children, their families and their community though thought, care, motivation and a willingness to be both adaptable and flexible. Megan will bring to any educational task an array of strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership, creativity, helping skills, diversified instructional skills and a spirit for creative planning and learning. Whether a unique classroom assignment or a major event that welcomes the entire family to the school, Megan brings an affinity and alacrity for organization and planning. Ultimately, she seeks to change the lives of children, by teaching the foundations of learning, leading by example and inclusion, and consistently assessing the needs of her students and her own instruction and classroom management skills.
