My career as an engineer has been a captivating blend of technical innovation and sensory discovery. In 2021, I left an R&D role to study sustainability, to refocus my engineering career path on making a positive impact for others. I began my professional journey in manufacturing engineering, where I developed a keen understanding of continuous improvement processes and brewery quality. This experience laid the groundwork for my later focus on process development and sustainable design, allowing me to refine systems and enhance product quality in meaningful ways. As I delved deeper into the world of food and beverage, I became fascinated by sensory science. Understanding how taste, aroma, and texture influence consumer experience has been a driving force in my work. My Master's in sustainability has further shaped my perspective, enabling me to guide development of products that are not only luxurious but also environmentally responsible. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in various roles from candy to alcohol, cars to cosmetics, and sustainability research to life cycle assessment. Each position has enriched my understanding of what it takes to bring leverage innovation as a force for change —from the intricacies of quality assurance to the innovative challenges of startup environments. As I continue on this journey, I remain committed to innovation, sustainability, and the pursuit of perfection in every sensory detail. Whether it's crafting better goods or developing a new waste-to-value process, my goal is always to leverage design and development for projects that are not only successful but also contribute positively to our world. In my career, I strive to work at the intersection of art and science, community and industry, with a hands on approach and a relentless drive for excellence.
