About Megan Guy

In all things, I strive to do good. I am a high achieving student at Texas A&M University, enrolled in their School of Engineering, Engineering Honors program, University Honors Program, and Engineering to Engineering Medicine Early Assurance program. I work towards academic excellence, constantly soaking up new information as I seek to be a life-long learner. I prioritize the benefit of the people and world around me, and I will use my future in medicine to discover new solutions through research and developing medical devices. As a lover of both the arts and the sciences, I bring a broad spectrum of viewpoints to the table. I have fostered my creativity as a leader and involved participant in choir and theatre, both on and offstage. Furthermore, I participated in a year-long research project studying the effects ultrasonic frequencies on bacteria and the principles of sonication. Through my research and an internship in the R&D department at a local flow mechanics company, I learned experimental techniques, gained effective data analysis skills, and broadened my understanding of research as an industry. My perspectives shape my mind towards innovation, giving me a strong foundation to build upon in a career dependent on intellectual creativity. I want to improve the healthcare industry by embodying the concept of the "physicianeer." I will combine the innovation of engineering with the depth of knowledge of medicine to create cutting-edge solutions to the obstacles surrounding modern medicine.
