About Megan Hammes

I currently work full time as a physical therapy technician for ATI Physical Therapy. I have applied for the Physical Therapy Assistant program in Phoenix, Arizona, which would begin in August 2024 anticipating that I am accepted. I am interested in pursuing this career because I believe I possess the ability to help individuals improve their range of motion, learn adaptive strategies to complete activities of daily living, build strength, gain independence, and more with my enthusiastic personality and growing knowledge of human body anatomy. Working as a technician for the past two years has provided me with the skills to create a bond with patients and encourage them in ways that make them optimistic about their recover journey, what ever that may entail for them. This opportunity is allowing to me further my knowledge of medical terminology and how to carry out therapy sessions based upon goals of recovery to increase patient independence and successful rehabilitation.
