Background

About Megan Jones

I am a third-year engineering student at CU Boulder, pursuing a degree in Integrated Design Engineering with an emphasis on mechanical engineering and a concentration in neuroscience. I am passionate about space travel, flight, and neuroscience, and my goal is to study bioastronautics or to help develop technology to get people to space. I have been working as an office staff assistant at Fiske Planetarium since May 2023, where I assist with administrative tasks, customer service, and event coordination. I also have 3.5+ years of experience as an instructor at GaleForce Martial Arts, where I taught martial arts to children and adults, developing my leadership and communication skills. I have acquired multiple skills in programming, design, and fabrication, such as MATLAB, Overleaf, C++, CAD, soldering, laser cutting, and 3D printing. I enjoy working with numbers, making observations, and testing hypotheses, and I thrive in hands-on situations, where I can apply my creativity and analytical skills.
