About Megan Lyons

I am a hardworking and driven individual striving towards a career in accounting. I have achieved a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry, and Commendation in an MSc(Econ) in Accounting and Finance. Throughout my time at university, I have developed many skills such as time management, communication, problem-solving, teamwork and individual work, project management, efficiency, etc. During this time I also represented and organised part of the Aberdeen University Tennis Club - Social Tennis - organising and leading sessions, communicating with the committee and Team captains, promoting the Social Tennis side of the club, etc, for 2 years leading to an increase in members and so an increase in the income for the club. Previously, I have had work experience in both hospitality and food retail which has enabled me to build on my current skills but also develop new skills such as dealing with the public, initiative, leadership, cash handling, adapting quickly to different environments and scenarios, etc. I strongly believe in the values of honesty, trust and integrity and always put my best into everything I do to produce high-quality work so that I can always end the day proud of my actions.
