About Megan Magee
Megan graduated the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan, and began performing at famed venues such as The Triad, The Duplex, and June Havoc, and toured with The Vital Theatre Company. Megan then trained at the Two-Year Conservatory Program at William Esper Studio in Meisner Technique. In 2015, she made her Off-Broadway debut at Cherry Lane Theatre, playing the role of Hillary in the comedy Women Are Crazy Because Men Are A**holes. Megan began working with The Ophelia Theatre Group as an actor and a writer. Highlights include originating the role of Tweedle Dum in "Your Alice" by Billie Aken-Tyers. This Queenss blackbox production was so successful, it garnered an Off-Broadway run at BAM, followed by a three-week run at Edinburgh Fringe in 2018. She also became a member of Theatre 68 as an actor and director, a Manhattan based theatre company under the direction of Ronnie Marmo. In 2017, Megan began writing and producing independent short films while working as an actress and writer. Her short proof-of-concept film "Jonesie McGunner" netted her a Best Actress win in 2020. She's since written and produced several short films, including South Film and Arts Academy Festival's "Best Mircoshort" winner and Indie Shorts Festival Finalist,"Hope", and Astoria Film Festival Official Selection "The White Place", and "Hazel's Garden", both of which are streaming on IFT Network TV. In late 2020, Megan became a series regular on the sketch comedy show "The Egos" on Amazon Prime. In 2021, Megan began working with 624 Productions, where she frequently works as an actress and 1st AD. Highlights include acting in "Un$uited"(with Dan Lauria) and feature film "Crimson Shadows". She also co-starred with Marty Grabstein in HUNTER IS F**KED, a dark comedy short about Hunter S. Thompson which was so far won BEST DARK COMEDY and BEST ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE on the festival circuit. In 2022, Megan directed the spec pilot "Yellow Lines" by Carly Wilkins and Kristen Papadopoulos, which won BEST NEW PILOT at the Chain NYC Film Festival. In 2023, Megan was named the Associate Artistic Director of Theatre 68, and she is committed to facilitating actors, writers, directors, and producers in the creation of their professional identity. UPCOMING- Slated to direct the next six episodes of YELLOW LINES summer 2023- A producer on horror short film slated to film this August- Acting in two upcoming short films,"I Want Your Skin", and "Scream a Little Dream" Megan is represented by U-Shin Kim at UGA Talent.
