About Megan McGlauchlen

When I was studying abroad, I took the Bodhisattva vow at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, India. While seated under the Bodhi Tree, the place where the Buddha reached enlightenment, I and a group of my peers vowed to cultivate supreme compassion and wisdom for the service of others. Originally, my decision to take the Bodhisattva vow stemmed from my desire for complete immersion in this Buddhist Studies program. However, I discovered my values aligned with it perfectly. Now, that compassion informs my work every day. As I completed my senior thesis, I combined the skills I learned in my traditional classes with my personal growth abroad to write about complex theories of religion, philosophy, and identity in an accessible way for any reader. In my sales and coaching positions that compassion informs how I interact with customers and students alike. I am well-versed in researching, writing, building rapport, and customer service.
