About Megan McKenzie

With nearly 25 years of experience in the Equine and Stockfeed Industry, my journey commenced with a strong educational foundation at Marcus Oldham College. Subsequently, I augmented this knowledge with a Masters in Marketing. Initially, I served as an Equine Nutrition Advisor at Kentucky Equine Research, offering consultancy services to Equestrian riders, stud owners, and racehorse trainers on tailored feeding and nutrition regimens across Australia and Southeast Asia. Following a decade and a half in this role, I transitioned to a new chapter at Eastern Distributors and Green Valley Grains. Over the past 9 years, I have progressed from Territory management positions to the esteemed role of Marketing Manager at Eastern Distributors, a renowned National Pet and Stock Feed Wholesaler. Within its 22-year history, Eastern Distributors has expanded its inventory to encompass over SKUs of Pet and Stock Feed, inclusive of Equine supplements and accessories. Additionally, I work at Green Valley Grains, a Stockfeed mill based in Beaconsfield, by formulation, branding, and marketing their range of Stockfeed products, which notably feature an range of Poultry, Bird, Small Animal and Equestrian products and feeds. My dedication to the industry's advancement has led me to serve as the Chairperson of the Stockfeed Manufacturers Council of Australia SFMCA (VIC/TAS Branch) and as the Vice Chairperson on the Federal Council of the SFMCA. In these roles, I actively engage with governmental entities to advocate for legislative changes within the stockfeed sector, underscoring my commitment to enhancing industry standards and practices.
