About Megan Mueller

I'm a puzzler by nature. As a child, I sneaked into my mom's room to fill out her crosswords; my grandmother sends me books of logic problems for my birthday. I will forgo eating and sleeping if I crack open a complicated murder mystery novel, and my lifelong hobby of crocheting stuck because a crochet pattern is a coded puzzle- and once it's solved, you have a new sweater. My passion for getting to the bottom of things and finding the best way to reach a goal characterizes my professional life as well. I'm a Big Idea person who will weigh every possible outcome whether we're puzzling over institutional policies or Platonic dialogues. I'm in my element in brainstorming sessions, presentations, and discussions-yes, I love meetings, especially when I can pull disparate elements together to create the best course of action. When I feel like I have solved a problem or found a new solution, my strengths lie in communicating those new ideas to others, whether that be around a conference table, in a classroom, or at a podium before a packed auditorium. I'm happiest when I can end my day cooking complicated dinners with my husband and crocheting complicated garments for my six sisters.
