About Megan Young

Growing up, I loved telling stories. I'd carry my notebook with me everywhere, writing and rewriting scenes until they were just right. As I got older, I realized that I didn't have to make up stories. There were plenty of stories right here — waiting for someone to tell them. So I got my degree as a professional story teller in Public Relations and Marketing. I spent my time in college focusing on building a student organization's online presence from the ground up and sharing the unique experiences and connection they offered. Now, I get to use my passion and skill for telling stories to help professional organizations do the same and show how they care and make a difference in people's lives. With a focus in digital marketing, I specialize in social media, videography, and creative development with the occasional bonus of copywriting and web CMS management. I love the challenge of creating content that connects with a variety of audiences, demographics, and generations through online platforms to drive up awareness and engagement. I strive to develop a relationship of trust between organizations and their stakeholders through engaging, informative, and occasionally silly content while also reinforcing their position as subject-matter experts. My vast array of experience allows me to go beyond traditional content creation to build complex campaigns featuring video, static, and interactive content for a variety of platforms and channels in-house. From planning to production & post to analyzing the results and effectiveness, each step is a vital piece to create a clear story for these organizations that allows audiences to connect and understand their value.
