About Meghan Banton

My research in bioarchaeology, paleopathology, and paleoepidemiology is dedicated to uncovering historic and present military population health narratives and to achieve better understanding of occupational diseases. My career as an Assistant State Physical/Forensic Anthropologist (Utah SHPO) has allowed me to work with historic and prehistoric archaeological human remains in field and laboratory settings. Overall, I have over fifteen years of experience working with human remains in field and laboratory settings, eighteen years of experience working/conducting research relevant to history/museums, thirteen years of experience in conducting collaborative research, and nineteen years of experience working in education (both traditional and non-traditional settings).
