I really enjoy stopping for coffee on my way to work. Before anyone brings up budgeting, yes, I have an espresso machine at home, and yes, there’s great coffee at the office. So why do I still do it? First, to-go coffee comes with a lid. If you know, you know. And yes, I also avoid wearing white. But mostly, it’s about the ritual. That half-drunk, overly complicated, sugary latte in my hand? It’s my signal that I’m ready for whatever the day brings. Whether it’s an early morning meeting, a sudden policy change, or a conversation that starts with, “Do you have a minute?” As an HR leader in hospitality, no two days are the same, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. People are the heartbeat of this industry, and I’m here to make their work experience as rewarding as their best hospitable moment.
