About Meghdeep Ray

I am a Computer Science Engineering graduate from People's Education Society, Bangalore. My interests lie in Machine Learning, Big Data, Computer Security, Algorithms and emerging technologies. I am competent at programming in Python, C++, Java, C, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 having used them during my internships and coursework. I have worked with MySQL, SQLite and Oracle databases. I have experience working with frameworks like Django and Flask. I have also worked with distributed systems and Big Data technologies like Apache Spark and Hadoop. I have a great deal of experience working on several Unix-like systems including Ubuntu, Debian, Arch and Gentoo. I have a great passion for hackathons and have attended over 25 in Bangalore. In college I was part of the chess team and was part of the organising teams of several departmental events ranging from extra curriculars to hackathons. I was also a part of the core team that arranged the Computer Science fest of Ayana in 2015. My hobbies include chess, basketball, swimming and playing the guitar. I am also an avid bibliophile and traveller.
