Background
About Mehdi Eshagh
For the past 23 years, I have been deeply engaged in teaching a wide range of Geomatics courses at various levels of education. With a strong foundation in Surveying Engineering and Geodesy, my academic background has been instrumental in shaping my expertise and passion for the field. My research interests encompass a broad spectrum of geodetic and geomatics subjects, but I have particularly focused on advancing the realms of physical Geodesy, Satellite Geodesy, gravimetry, solid earth geophysics, and deformation monitoring. These areas have captivated my curiosity and allowed me to delve into the intricate workings of the Earth's geophysical processes. During a fulfilling tenure, I served as a Geodesy professor for a period of 10 years at University West in Sweden. This experience not only allowed me to impart knowledge and mentor aspiring geomatics professionals but also fueled my desire to contribute to groundbreaking research in the field. Currently, I am honoured to collaborate with the prestigious University of Sherbrooke as an adjunct professor, further enriching my research journey. This partnership has opened up new avenues for exploration and provided me with the opportunity to work alongside dedicated scholars and students, fostering an environment of innovation and intellectual growth. As I continue on this path of academic and research excellence, I remain committed to pushing the boundaries of knowledge in geodetic and geomatics sciences. My vision is to contribute meaningfully to advancements in these fields and to inspire the next generation of geomatics experts to take on the challenges of our ever-changing world. Through teaching, research, and collaboration, I strive to leave a lasting impact on the field of Geomatics and its diverse applications for the benefit of society.
