About Mehran bin Moin

I started as an associate customer support agent at Meetup in 2015, and cut my teeth in that role for the first year. I learned the art of finding the balance between empathetic writing while delivering not so good news to customers related to product shortcomings. I moved onto supporting our new agents in the company during year 2, and this is when I became a senior support specialist with a focus on mentorship. I on-boarded every new agent and showed them the “support ropes” and passed down all my knowledge of admin tools, product support, troubleshooting, and trust & safety work. After 3 years of focusing on mentorship, I was promoted to senior customer support lead with the focus on cultivating and managing healthy relationships with our BPO teams from PartnerHero and Boldr. Our BPO agents are my first customers, followed by our organizers and community members. Delivering fast, accurate, and efficient responses to BPO agents on tricky cases, helping to replicate defects, product testing, and quality assurance all bring joy to my heart, and I love every moment of this fast-paced career! Currently continuing the journey towards supporting our BPO team leaders/agents, helping them sharpen their skills in compassionate customer service, reporting product feedback up the chain to product teams, and identifying sensitive cases that require trust and safety attention.
