About Mekdim Assefa
I am a chemical and bio-process engineer with extensive experience in Rheology, postharvest of fruits and technology, research and teaching. I am currently working as a lecturer at Addis Ababa University. I completed my Msc. degree in the field of engineering rheology and Bsc. degree in Chemical engineering. I have supervised/co-supervised significant number of undergraduate research projects in Ethiopia. My research has always been practical, with real world applications. I participated in collaboration project between KU Leuven University, Belgium and Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia and I have been doing a research in the area of bioscience engineering. I have a good experience in the field of rheology, postharvest management of fruits and vegetables, Computational fluid dynamics, MATLAB and ANSYS software. Moreover I have four years of progressive experience as a production and quality supervisor in Methara sugar factory which is one of the top sugar industries in Ethiopia after graduating in Chemical engineering.
