About Mel Coleman

I am a supportive, creative and hard-working people-person who has developed a wide variety of transferable skills across four industry sectors; working for both corporate and non-profit organisations. Having lived, worked and travelled in many countries, I enjoy people-focused roles, where building strong relationships, problem solving and multi-tasking are key components. Throughout my career, although I have had a diverse selection of roles, my skill sets in customer service, co-ordination, problem solving and administration, together with my strong work ethic, always ensure that I can quickly adapt to new industries and duties. My career highlights have included working with musicians such as Amy Winehouse and Snake Davis (Pizza Express), supporting Lima's street children to return to education (Bruce Peru) and providing administrative support to an NGO director (MRDF). I have helped map a village in the Amazon (Aqua para Todos), mentored students to plan and organise extra circular activities (Hunton) and supported the Maasai, Meru and Pokot people of East Africa to improve administration and project management practices (MRDF). I also have experience of teaching R.E and Spanish across Key Stage 2 as well as all other National Curriculum subjects to children aged 5-11. Currently, I am providing HR, administration and office support at a 1 form entry primary school in Kent.
