Background

About Mel Dewey

This past year I have adapted my roles to work within my community with SEND adults delivering arts based projects with Purple Patch Arts. I have also created online digital workshops for Young Creatives in the role of Associate Lecturer at Leeds Arts University. In my spare time I continue to develop & produce my own photography & arts based practices. Following the completion of my MA in Creative Practice with Distinction at Leeds Arts University, I am now part of an artist collective [TCL Art Collective] with over 30 years experience in a variety of Photographic skills in both digital and analogue techniques, confident with both digital editing and darkroom techniques. Software skills include Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, Blogs, WordPress and creating an on-line presence with Social Media. Being part of a collective allows me to work collaboratively in Leeds and the surrounding areas as well as exhibit within my community. I now spend my weekends riding my bright red scooter and sometimes on a motorbike, out with friends in the countryside visiting new places, enjoying the sense of adventure of being on 2 wheels.
