Mel has Water Resource Management / Environmental Awareness experiance throughout Australia,SouthEast Asia,UK/USA, with a particular interest in the Arabian Gulf and Saudi Arabia including numerous projects as chief design lead and also water treatment commissioning and handover lead at start up including liason with regulatory authorites in many countries. He has completed numerous projects outside home base including acting for Asian Development Bank in critical aid projects. He remains ready to deploy at any time when a suitable project arises. He has acted as Project Design/ Environmental Consultant for all types of water treatment including new build and refurbishment projects mainly within the Construction Industry and for Water Authorities and other Government entities including Local Government Agencies in UK, Australia, Dubai, Sultanate of Oman and Bahrain. Typically this includes water and waste water plant design and build, supervision for drinking and waste water plant, stormwater treatment and disposal with temporary plant during construction (Design and Hire) and also permanent plant installations. He is a Water Engineering Designer and Chartered Chemist capable of producing competative designs to treat nutrients,metals and organics and has specific expertise in the treatment of PFAS and similar organic contaminents and is a specialist from his educational background in organic chemistry and hence organic removal from water. He has a working knowledge of the most potent technologies for such treatment in water. Works well under pressure and is able to meet time critical deadlines whilst maintaining high standards through planning and organisational skills developed during many years work within all sectors in industrial and municipal water treatment accross numerous countries.
