About Mel Soquet

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in May of 2024, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a double minor in Special Education and Philosophy. I graduated Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.4I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in September of 2025, where I earned an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.9I work well with peers, teachers, advisors, customers, clients, patients, and children. I always strive to do my best and maintain an organized work environment. I have my Special Education Program Aid license. I am certified in non-violent crisis interventions. I have experience distributing medications to clients, de-escalating situations, being in a teaching/leadership position with students from ages 4-19, various methods of communication, and using both Microsoft office and Google applications. I enjoy organizing and analyzing data, managing paperwork, and creating learning tools for both myself and others. I have experience training new staff in almost every position I’ve held. I’ve had the opportunity to work with people of all ages from challenging situations and backgrounds, and I believe that will assist me in my path to better the world around me. It has simultaneously humbled me, given me valuable education that can’t be taught in a classroom, and increased my empathy for others more than I thought possible.
