About Melanie Bennett

No matter what I am doing, whether in my personal or professional life, it is always centered around helping people. Customer service, security, education, and charity work are all things that I have incorporated in the past and continue to put to use every day. Everyone has a bad day now and then, and I like to be that person that helps to put the pieces back together. Currently I am a lead trainer with the State of New Mexico - Income Support Division as part of the Training Support Bureau. For the last 3 years we have been almost entirely virtual for all training including that for onboarding newly hired employees. Prior to that, we would train in various training labs throughout the state and deliver the information in person. I am highly skilled in both virtual and in person training, lectures, materials delivery and process development and improvement. I have experience in setting up and tearing down classrooms, materials preparation, supplies ordering, and class management. Before coming to the Training Support Bureau, I was a field worker for government assistance program applications. I met with individuals both in person and over the phone to obtain information needed to process applications and deliver benefits to those who qualify. I was responsible for case management, case audits, and compliance with quality assurance.
