About Melanie Ellis

As the Chief of Staff at King's Ridge Christian School, I have been leading the HR and operations functions, overseeing regulatory compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefit management, training, onboarding, and risk management. With more than 16 years of experience in HR management, I have a strong background in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organizational goals and culture. I am passionate about creating a positive and supportive work environment for our staff, students, and families. I have designed and delivered training programs on cultural competency and abuse prevention, as well as optimized the compensation and benefit plans for our employees. I have also successfully managed and resolved client complaints and incidents, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. I am a trusted advisor to the management team, providing guidance on policies and procedures related to hiring, performance, discipline, and termination. I am proficient in employee benefits, HR, and employee training, and I hold a BBA in HR from Georgia State University.
