Background

About Melanie Law

I have a diverse work history that spans across various sectors in both national and regional organisations, government, private enterprise, not for profit organisations and my own small business. I am currently specialising in Human Resource Business Partnering working in government supporting the Hunter and Central Coast. With a personal drive to create a social impact, I have developed, implemented, worked in and championed programs that support children and families, youth, people with disability, aged care, regional women and homelessness programs. This has seen me work at a local and regional level, including the development of a regional social enterprise strategy and subsequent action plan in collaboration with the key stakeholders. Always the innovator, I’ve launched a social enterprise start up “Breastless” following my personal experience of being diagnosed with breast cancer. And after multiple surgeries and treatment, opting to live ‘flat’, after a bilateral mastectomy. Breastless supports women who either choose not to or who are unable to proceed with reconstruction by providing resources, products, tools encouragement and inspiration. We encourage them to find their voice, rebuild confidence and challenge societies expectations. I am very passionate about collaboration, innovation and imagineering. for our communities, our regions and our organisations.
