About Melanie Yang

Melanie Yang completed her Master's of Health Science in the Translational Research Program at the University of Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Life Science from McMaster University. In addition, she serves as a knowledge broker for the Province of Ontario Neurodevelopmental (POND) Network at the Holland Bloorview Research Institute. Her work encompasses integrated knowledge translation and synthesis, and she collaborates closely with the POND participant advisory committee. Melanie's master's project involved evaluating the implementation process of a digital heart failure management program in community health centres in partnership with the University Health Network, with the goal of understanding how to expand and scale this program across Ontario. Melanie’s current research interests are in implementation science, health system's efficiency, knowledge mobilization, and spreading and scaling healthcare innovation. Melanie's creativity, curiosity, and collaborative approach drives her passion to innovate in healthcare. She aspires to transform the healthcare system through sustainable change and working towards equitable access to care.
