That’s often where I meet people: at the edge of burnout, trauma, or identity crisis… sometimes all at once. Life can get a bit chaotic! I’m Melinda Schuster, M.A, LPC-S, PMH-C, EMDR Certified, and the founder of Schuster Counseling Group. I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum mental health, burnout, and life transitions. I focus on supporting both moms and dads during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting, as well as high-achieving professionals and bariatric patients seeking deeper emotional healing. My clinical style is real, relational, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients heal from the inside out. I’m passionate about creating space for the parts of you that feel overwhelmed, ashamed, disconnected, or “too much.” I also offer therapy intensives—focused, accelerated sessions designed for deeper healing and long-term change. These are ideal for clients who feel like weekly sessions aren’t enough or who want to move through trauma or emotional blocks more quickly. I provide specialized bariatric counseling for pre- and post-operative clients, supporting them through emotional eating, identity changes, grief, relationship stress, and long-term behavior change. I also conduct bariatric psychological evaluations for clients seeking surgery approval, ensuring the process is collaborative, trauma-informed, and respectful. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in Oklahoma, I also provide clinical supervision to LPC Candidates, helping new therapists grow ethically, skillfully, and sustainably. With being a fully online therapist, I am also licensed in Texas, Oregon, and Florida. Outside of therapy, I speak and write about mental health, trauma recovery, postpartum identity shifts, therapist burnout, and parenting after trauma.
