About Melissa Foo

I'm currently homeschooling my 2 children in Singapore. I also teach Pilates and the Gyrotonic method at Sky Pilates studio, a beautiful, bespoke studio in the heart of Singapore. I’m currently managing the studio’s social media account, whilst creating unique content for them. On top of regular Pilates classes, I love keeping fit with skiing, ice skating, Barre classes, and Clay shooting sports (Skeet and Sporting Clays). I keep up to date in the fitness world by taking high quality courses to upgrade my skills. While living in the U.S, I had the opportunity to take lessons in Circus aerial silks, Barre and Skeet, downhill skiing, and flying trapeze classes at the famed Trapeze School New York, DC. Apart from fitness, I also enjoy learning about different places and people. In the U.S, I lived in Alabama and Arizona for a total of 4 years as a military wife. While there, I assimilated into the local way of life, and made many friends there with a wide spectrum of ages and interests. I also traveled widely across the United States. As a University student, I lived in Sydney, Australia for 5 years. I have traveled across the globe as well, including a partially sponsored trip to South Africa as a Junior College student to learn about the Apartheid. My travels, and experiences living without the benefit of friends or family in a few different places, have given me the ability to build rapport and form friendships quickly. I graduated with honors from UNSW with a degree in Biotechnology, with my thesis focusing on the efficacy of probiotics and probiotics in animals.
