About Melissa Glode

My teaching career has been geared to the empowerment of elementary school children. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well- rounded, responsible, and productive members of society. Throughout the course of my career, I have had the privilege to teach diverse groups of students, to include those who are economically challenged and those dealing with a deployed parent and constant moves due to the military permanent change of duty station. As a result, I have become proficient at creating diverse, innovative, high-quality, and hands-on learning experiences to prepare students for an ever-changing world. My greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating students. I actively engage their eager minds by incorporating hands-on learning opportunities, enjoyable learning activities, while teaching them independence and responsibility through learning stations and small group instruction. In addition, I tailor lesson plans to meet their diverse interests as well as demonstrate connections between the classroom and everyday life.
