About Melissa Gordon

I earned a BA in Human Performance and Wellness out of a personal passion for optimal health. After five years in the fitness industry, I made a career leap into education as an English teacher. Once I had kids of my own, I enjoyed 10 years of being a stay-at-home mom. I homeschooled my children using a blend of Charlotte Mason and Montessori methods. When I resumed my career, I taught in public charter schools for a few years before making another leap of faith and stepping into the nonprofit sector. I now serve as the Director of Advancement at Pregnancy Solutions, where I connect generous individuals with mission-driven opportunities to make a lasting impact. I also lead Awaken Kids, the children's ministry at Awaken Church, where I get to live out my passion for the Great Commission and invest in the next generation. Beyond ministry and nonprofit work, I’ve turned my love for vintage and antique decor into a side hustle, flipping my finds at Sentimental Daisy, my Etsy and eBay shop. I’m also an IIN-certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, helping people become healthier versions of themselves. Most recently, after enrolling as a Kingdom320 student, I founded Cedar Branch Ventures, a real estate investment startup focused on improving housing security through creative property solutions. At my core, I am both a teacher and a lifelong learner—always reading, exploring, and diving deeper into what God lays on my heart. I also love adventure, big or small—from completing a Tough Mudder to solo backpacking through Southeast Asia, I always love to have an adventure in the works! Professionally, I thrive in education, homeschool consulting, donor relations, public speaking, coaching, fitness and nutrition consulting, and real estate problem-solving. A lover of the written word, the great outdoors, and adventures big and small—onward and upward!
