About Melissa Hardman
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph completing my Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences with a minor in neuroscience. I have had a passion for helping others from a young age which led me to pursue a job as an Animal Care Attendant. In my time at the University of Guelph, this passion has evolved and I have become fascinated by regenerative medicine and molecular diseases, primarily those affecting the central nervous system. As the Promotions and Campus Connections Coordinator for Stem Cells for Life at the University of Guelph, I have been able to further my education and educate my peers on the use of hematopoietic stem cells to treat blood cancers and bone marrow deficiency diseases. I hope to further my knowledge in the use of stem cells and regenerative medicine through research opportunities and enrollment into a Master's program.
