About Melissa Law

I am currently employed as an LPN Supervisor within Fraser Health. My experience in the health authority started with Home Support, also as a supervisor. I attended home visits, completed risk assessments and was responsible for overseeing CHW's, their performance reviews as well as responding to client and family concerns regarding their care. I moved away from home support to a different sector of community nursing where I am currently working in a Transitional Housing project that was created to help de-congest acute care beds in the Fraser Health region. I supervise our small team on evenings and nights as well as respond to an array of issues that may arise such as violence on site, police matters, client care concerns and ongoing communication with acute care sites to review their referrals to our program. I have experience in mental health, brain injury, addictions as well as violence prevention & de-escalation. Prior to my experience with Fraser Health, I worked primarily in Long Term care, first as an RCA from 2008-2013 and then a floor nurse & Resource Nurse from 2013 until onboarding with Fraser Health in 2022.
