About Melissa Lo

I started off my nursing career in pediatric hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplant care and over the years I have expanded my skills to all ages cancer care. As a new graduate Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, I found a unique opportunity at Neighborcare Health providing pediatric primary care in partnership with Seattle Public Schools and King County Public Health. Through this program, I promoted preventative health and wellness through School-Based Health which aimed to reduce barriers to accessing healthcare. I returned to pediatric bone marrow transplant care as a Nurse Practitioner with one of the leading transplant teams in the country with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center providing care in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Most recently, I have joined the National Marrow Donor Program with Be The Match as a member of the Seattle Apheresis Collection Center. Working with bone marrow/stem cell donors has been quite rewarding.
