Background

About Melissa P.

My career has been shaped by my strong work ethic, my natural curiosity and my ability to listen, learn and adapt. After a decade in the Travel Industry, most recently as a Regional Sales Manager where I was responsible for coaching and developing high performing teams, I changed careers and now work in Tech - starting as a Backend Software Developer at a Digital Transformation Consultancy before taking on my current role as a Solutions Engineer at Cisco AppDynamics. I love collaborating with my team to solve problems and build valuable products and solutions. I am often recognised for my positivity, proactivity and my skills in coaching, influencing and empowering others.'Paying it forward' is important to me. I am so grateful for the training, support and mentorship I received when I changed careers and I want to give back as much as I can. I've co-led Women's Affinity Groups, volunteered as a career mentor at Code Your Future and taught a Python course at Code First Girls.
