About Melissa Render

A senior geologist with over 15 years of experience in exploration, including 8 years focused on orogenic gold. Diverse and extensive management portfolio leading exploration teams worldwide from grassroots to advanced in a variety of greenstone belts including Abitibi (Canada), Eastern Goldfields (Australia), Hope Bay (Canada), Central Lapland (Finland) and Banfora (Burkina Faso). Consulting efforts are focused on creating a discovery culture and using expertise in data management and interpretation, target generation, exploration program design, and 3D modeling to maximize chances for discovery success. Strengths of note include geologic modeling (Leapfrog), structural mapping and interpretation, geochemistry (ioGAS), GIS, and data management (validation and compilation). Has held senior geologist roles with a multitude of junior and major companies; as the lead geologist on project evaluations and project management for Kinross Gold’s Canadian Division; as the senior project geologist at the Tropicana deposit, AngloGold Ashanti; as senior project geologist at the Hope Bay project, TMAC Resources; as senior project geologist at the Coffee Project, Kaminak Gold; and as a consulting database and data interpretation geologist for Waterton Global’s Nevada- based technical team.
