Background

About Melissa Schade

I bring substantial experience as a Project Manager adept in performance management, data analytics, and strategic communication. My past role involved overseeing Year Up Puget Sound's intern program in collaboration with corporate giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Salesforce. As the custodian of a $1M asset portfolio, I harnessed the power of Salesforce and Tableau Analytics to distill complex data into actionable insights across diverse functions. I am passionate about operational excellence and data integrity. In all my work, I leverage the organizing principles I honed while campaigning for racial, environmental, and economic justice on the grassroots campaign for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. I have a proven track record of coalition building to advance strategic initiatives. This includes increasing access to prestigious fellowships and grants. I formerly managed the operations of Seattle University's Office of Fellowships and successfully increase the student application rate by 50%, with a 30% increase in applications by students from underserved backgrounds. I contributed to record-breaking success at Seattle U, including the first Rhodes and Marshall finalist since 2005, a Truman Scholar, and over 20 Fulbright U.S. Research Grants.
