About Melissa Searing

Pleased to meet you, my name is Melissa and I'm an experienced and versatile visual designer, Illustrator, email developer, and studio artist. I have a passion for communicating ideas across multiple channels, with the client's needs in mind every step of the way. I'm proud to be personable, approachable, and flexible so that every experience my clients have is positive and informative. I've felt like an artist since I was old enough to pick up a pencil and paintbrush, my sketchbook was my constant companion growing up. I gradually expanded my skills to include mixed media, sculpting, photography, and illustration. I fell into design right out of college and immediately fell madly in love with it. As I learned the technical skills on the job I began to refine my understanding of the world from an organized visual standpoint and my design aesthetic evolved. Slowly I began to strip away the unnecessary and learned to leave only what is essential to the message, less is more in most cases. I strive for timeless design, because a classic remains relevant and adaptable throughout the changing tide of trends. A classic communicates. And that is ultimately what all design aspires to do.
