I have worked for Protea Hotels since 2003. I started as a trainee and worked my way up in the hotel. The first opportunity I was given was as night reception where I quickly worked my way to night auditor. I was then promoted to night manager, in this position I had about 10 people working under me. I was then given the opportunity to start as F&B cost controller, this was a great challenge as I did not know anything about cost controlling and the previous cost controller had already left. The position for creditors clerk became available and I just had to apply, got the job and started as creditors clerk.
