About Melissa Sullivan

As a career path, I chose Respiratory Therapy. I love working with patients of all ages that suffer from heart, lung and/or kidney issues. The specific nature of respiratory therapy gives targeted attention to diseases or conditions that effect these particular organs. I am also a BLS instructor with the American Heart Association & I teach CPR to both healthcare professionals as well as the general public. Another passion of mine is volunteering & grant writing for local non profits, specifically the CPC of Simpson county. I began working with this organization from its beginning in February of 2011. I have filled the role of ED of this non profit & now serve as a volunteer on the board of directors. This is a thriving ministry in our community & I'm so grateful to be a part of it. My most important, most rewarding & biggest role at this stage in my life is the joy that I have in homeschooling my two children. We began this journey 7 years ago after conviction that I needed to be with my family more. I never thought homeschooling would be on my resume but I am so incredibly glad that it is. My children are excelling & I'm content in knowing I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be. When the occasion arises I enjoy the opportunity to speak at events primarily on topics of faith, missions, homeschooling, teen abstinence, pro life issues & fostering. My purpose in this life is to glorify God in every season whether it be in the work place, working with my children at home or volunteering. My goal is to do everything so that it be acceptable & pleasing to The Lord.professionally & privately.
