Welcome to my Linkedin Profile! I'm an experienced civill appellate and family law attorney licensed in Texas and California. With a law degree from UC-Berkeley, I take pride in using my sharp mind to take on challenging questions and help answer difficult questions. I am courageous and creative in my research and writing, as well as ethical, honest, and professional. I understand how to explain the law, and do not shirk away from tackling difficult issues, facts, and seemingly hopeless causes. The fact is, I write winning briefs, because I write well; I research well; and I edit well. I am also a firm believer in using my legal mind and power to help my community and profession. I am an active participant in the local Dallas Bar Association, Poverty Law Section of the Texas Bar, and neighborhood organizations. I also serve on the board of a Texas reproductive rights organization and tenants' rights advocacy non-profit. I have participated in local environmental justice campaigns, work with voting rights organizations, and I have also helped local advocates develop and host legal workshops for their communities and other lawyers. Finally, I am also comfortable in the courtroom and well-versed and knowledgeable in Texas family law, landlord-tenant law, small business law, and reproductive rights law. I can take the lead on a case and manage a caseload, as well as work with clients to achieve the best outcomes for their case. I have a strong network in Texas and California and feel comfortable working with a variety of people on projects and ideas. I am an avid learner; curious about the world around me; willing to ask and answer tough questions; and truly welcome opportunities to grow and always be better. I would like to connect with individuals, non-profits, governmental entities, business owners and fellow attorneys wanting to share ideas, develop business opportunities or find solutions to their and/or their clients' legal needs.
