About Melody Ong
After completing her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Ottawa, Melody moved to Winnipeg to pursue specialty training in the field of Emergency Medicine at the University of Manitoba. She successfully passed her Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) specialty examination in May 2019, and subsequently moved back to Toronto to begin full-time practice at Trillium Health Partners. In between her clinical, administrative and academic responsibilities, Melody is concurrently working towards a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health along with further specialization in Quality Improvement, Patient Safety and Outcomes Research. Her other areas of interest within the specialty include Global Health and International Emergency Medicine, use of Technology and Social Media in Medicine, and Physician Wellness.
